Luz means light. We bring clarity to every result, so providers can make decisions with confidence and patients can get answers sooner.
We're an independent lab at 6027 N Cicero Ave in Chicago. We work with physician practices, nursing homes, and home health agencies across Cook County, and our phlebotomists can collect from patients at home. When you call, you'll talk to the people running your tests.
Mobile phlebotomy
Our phlebotomists collect specimens at nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, assisted living communities, and patients' homes across the Chicago area.
Specimens are transported in temperature-controlled containers and received at our Cicero Avenue lab the same day.

Mahmood Bilal, PhD, DABCC, TS(ABB), MLS(ASCP)
Board-certified in clinical chemistry by the American Board of Clinical Chemistry, with certifications from the American Board of Bioanalysis and ASCP. Dr. Bilal oversees testing quality, method validation, and regulatory compliance at De La Luz Laboratory.
Esmeralda Amaro, BS
Oversees laboratory workflow, reviews quality control, trains and supervises technicians, and performs method validations.
